Definition
Controls whether the automatic master batch process in the IE4N function is allowed or not.
Normally, it is not possible to receive a serial number (equipment) into a batch that is different to the current master batch of the equipment. However, in IE4N you may want to overrule automatically the master batch during an equipment removal.
Procedure
Set this indicator to:
- Not allowed (Error message) if you want the system to behave as standard.
The system rejects any attempt to use a batch (valuation type) different to the equipment master batch (valuation type), either by manual input or by using a reservation with a given batch number, and an error message is output. In this case, you cannot post the removal without first changing master data (either the master batch or the reservation).
- Allowed (Warning or No message), if you want the system to accept the batch/valuation type that has been either entered manually or taken from a reservation. The system changes the equipment master batch to this value in the background. The only difference between these two settings is that the system outputs a warning message in the case of Allowed (Warning message).
Note: If you choose to allow the process, the system always immediately updates the master batch on database. There is no way to reverse this, even if you later decide not to post the equipment removal in IE4N. This means you would have to change the master batch back to the old value in the equipment master.
