Definition

Corresponds to the document number of a printed document. It is linked to an official document number, and must be reported in an SAFT-file to the legal authorities in a specific format.

Use

  • The format of the number must be: [PREFIX]/[SEQUENTIAL_NUMBER]
  • The prefix is a linked value from [INTERNAL_CODE] and [SERIES] separated by a space such as:
    Document number = [INTERNAL_CODE] [SERIES]/[SEQUENTIAL_NUMBER]

Dependencies

The SAF-T document number is directly linked to a number range number interval defined in table NRIV.

Caution:

Do not modify the sequential number generated by the number range object. This sequential number must contain leading zeros.

    This value is part of the charatcer string to be digitally signed in Portugal.

  • Internal Code: Company code PT01
  • Series - concatenation of the fiscal year 2012 and the number range number 01 - : 201201
  • SAF-T Document Number: PT01 201201/123456789012

if a number range generating a sequential number of 12 digits is used.
