Definition

Indicates the value, which added to the value in the Sphere field (distant vision right eye or left eye), yields the value in the Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye).

Use

Dependencies

The field is only editable if you have set the indicator in front of the relevant line (distant vision right eye, distant vision left eye).

In addition, you can toggle between the editability of this addition field and the editability of the Sphere field (near vision right eye or near vision left eye). To do this, choose @BB@ with the quick info text Toggle Addition.

  • In the one case, the Addition field is ready for input:

If you then enter a value in the Addition field and press Enter, the value in the Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye) is calculated automatically as follows:

Value in Sphere field (distant vision right eye or left eye) + value in Addition field = Value in Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye).

  • In the other case, the Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye) is ready for input

If you then enter a value in the Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye) and press Enter, the value in the Addition field is calculated automatically as follows:

Value in Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye) - value in Sphere field (distant vision right eye or left eye) = Value in Addition field

Example

In the Sphere field (distant vision right eye or left eye) the value is 1.00. In the Addition field you enter the value -2.00. In the Sphere field (near vision right eye or left eye) the value is then -1.00.
