Definition
Statistically determined amount for the ULAE reserve.
Use
This value is determined from historicized data at the lowest level of detail, in other words, from amounts already paid in previous periods. Coverage is part of the detailling, but no differentiation by year of loss is made.
In a second step this amount is aggregated at company code level. This means that the percentage share of such a reserve in the overall company code can be estimated for each reserve group (see Weighted "Paid Res.Gp" to "Paid CoCode" Ratio).
However, the amount is not used to estimate the ULAE reserve to be set later (see CDE reserve).
