Documentation
Definition
Defines what aggregated ULAE reserves should amount to in total in a company code. Aggregated ULAE reserves are reserves for expenses that cannot be distributed to claims. The field must be transferred with input data.
Use
Initially all reserves existing in the company code at claim level as well as supplemental and IBNR reserves ( ALAE reserves) are totaled. The factor is then applied to this total, giving the amount to be set for the CDE reserve at company code level.
At a later stage in the calculation, the reserve amount at company code level is split into individual groups assignable to accounts, whereby the distribution key used is the previously determined statistical ratio between ULAE paid per reserve group and ULAE paid per company code.
