Definition

It indicates that the claim or the claim subobject are split according to versions of the internal claim type.

Use

Use the split on the basis of the internal claim type to use an older version of the internal claim type in an earlier period, and a newer version of the internal claim type in a later period.

Dependencies

Example

The split by internal claim type is executed for a claim item.

Before the split on the basis of the internal claim type, the value of the claim item in the period February 14 through June 21, 2005 is USD 430.

After creation of a new version of the internal claim type that is valid from May 1, 2005, the claim item is split into two parts:

• Claim item 0001 has a value of USD 270 and is valid from February 14 through April 30, 2005.
• Claim item 0002 has a value of USD 160 and is valid from May 1 through June 21, 2005.
