Documentation
Definition
Participant role required immediately when a new claim is created.
Use
If you always need participants in a certain role when you are processing certain claims, enter a participant role in this field.
When you create a claim, straight after the initial screen Create Claim: Initial Screen, the system displays a dialog screen in which you can enter the participant in the relevant participant role. The system then creates a subclaim with the relevant participant.
Dependencies
You can only enter those participant roles that have been configured for the claim header level in IMG activity Enhance Participant Roles, in other words, C for Claim must have been entered at the level of Permitted Subobject Categories in the participant role.
Example
In Workers Compensation claims, the entire claims process is based on the existence of a claimant. Processing of a claim only makes sense if a claimant exists. For this reason, it makes sense here to enter the participant in the role of Claimant as soon as the claim is created.
