You must assign either a business partner role to a participant role in the Role field, or a business partner role grouping in the Role Grouping field. The other field must always remain empty.

When users create a new participant during claims processing, or when the system performs a check for duplicates, the assignment that you make in this activity specifies the business partner role or the business partner role grouping that the participant must have.
