Use

Controls which direction is evaluated by the system for a relationship category to another business partner. Depending on the direction, the system automatically copies certain business partners into the claim.

  • If you do not set the indicator, the system evaluates the active direction of the relationship category.

    Example from care insurance:

The following relationships have been defined in SAP Business Partner:

    • "Business Partner A (Daughter 1) takes care of insured person (IP)"
    • "Business Partner B (Daughter 2) takes care of insured person (IP)"

In the Relationship Category field, you enter the value for "Takes Care Of".

If you then create a claim for the insured person in the application, the system automatically copies all business partners with the active direction "Business Partner Takes Care of IP", in our example the daughters 1 and 2.

  • If you set the indicator, the system evaluates the reverse direction of the relationship category.

    Example:

The following relationship has been defined in SAP Business Partner:

    • "Insured Person (IP) has ceded rights to Business Partner B"

If you then create a claim for the insured person in the application, the system automatically copies all business partners to whom the insured person has ceded rights.
