Documentation
Definition
Indicates the relationship category to another business partner.
Use
When you create a claim, the system reads the business partner from the contract. The system transfers this data (such as insured person) to the participant list. A check is made in the business partner system as to which business partner relationships exist for the business partner.
If the business partner relationship defined in IMG activity Define Properties of Participant Roles exists, the Claims Management system automatically creates this business partner relationship as a participant role.
Dependencies
Example
You need this functionality in health insurance, for the following relationships for example:
- Caregiver to the claimant
- Child, this being a prerequisite for certain benefits
- Guardian of the insured person (if insured has been declared incapable of making own decisions)
