Definition

Special instance of the type of claim item grouping category in inpatient hospital treatment or inpatient rehabilitation.

Use

In the inpatient hospital treatment and inpatient rehabilitation processes you can use the processing indicator for the following claim item grouping categories:

  • Admission
  • Benefit decision
  • Extension
  • Discharge

You can use the processing indicator to specify how the claim item grouping category is to be evaluated.

Dependencies

In IMG activity Configure Internal Claim Types you specify at Claim Item Group level which processing indicator is permitted for a combination of subclaim type and claim item grouping category. You define the processing indicators as permitted types.
