Use

You can use these business process to control the flow of claims processing.

In IMG activity Configure Internal Claim Types, you assign the two-digit key of the process to an internal claim type.

You require these processes, for example, for process control in display of function codes(such as Request, Benefit Decision, Copy to Benefit Decision). SAP provides the permitted function codes per process and claims processing submode (see IMG activity Enhance Function Codes for Each Process). Claims processing is controlled by this assignment to an internal claim type.
