Definition

Technical key of the policy product.

Use

A policy product is a set of rules defining facts that should apply equally to all contracts of this product. The most important definitions are which coverage types and which incident types are permitted, for example.

Together with the incident type and claim/loss date, the policy product defines which rules should apply to a claim.

Dependencies

Generally several contracts are assigned to a policy product, but only one line of insurance. In turn, a contract belongs to exactly one policy product.

When you enter a contract during claim creation, the associated policy product is determined automatically by the system and displayed.
