Documentation

Definition

Minimum amount that should always be reserved if the associated subclaim is open. Normally you should set at least one loss reserve for each open subclaim.

Use

The functionality behind this field means that the reserve does not fall below this amount when manual reserving is performed or payments made, for example.

The system ensures that

  • at least the required amount is reserved as a follow-up, or
  • the triggering action is cancelled, or
  • a dialog screen for reserve adjustment is displayed

If you enter "zero" as being the minimum reserve, this ensures that the reserve is not negative.

Dependencies

Example

  • It makes sense to specify such a minimum reserve for the standard reserve.
  • With other permitted loss reserves and reserves for settlement expenses you can specify such a minimum amount or a value of "zero".
  • With expectation reserves you should specify a value of "zero".
