Example

In coinsurance the following settlement types are possible, for example:

  • Leading

    The relevant shares are settled and possibly paid out by the leading insurer.

  • Own settlement

    The leading insurer only sends notifications to the participating insurers. The latter settle their own shares directly with the policyholder/claimant.
