Definition

Defines a percentage value based on the historical past for the expected recovery of the salvage item.

Use

In the Claims Management system, this field is part of the salvage data fields. When you enter a percent value, the system calculates the expected salvage return value. The calculation is based upon all salvage loss payments multiplied by the historical rate value. The calculated amount is placed in the estimated actual cash value (ACV) for the salvage. In addition, the expected ACV value is used to create a salvage statistical record in the Collections and Disbursements system.
