Definition
Criterion used for evaluating a vendor. Evaluation criteria are used in vendor evaluation.
SAP supplies four different evaluation criteria:
- DISTANCE
The value for this evaluation criterion is determined as being the distance between the address of the vendor and a reference point. The user in the claims application defines the reference point, such as the location of the damaged object.
Geographical coordinates determined by the geocoding program stored in the system calculate the distance between these two addresses.
The distance is given in either the unit Kilometer or in the unit Mile. The unit that is used is defined in the user master by the value for the parameter ICL_MILEAGEUNIT: KM stands for kilometer, MLS for mile. If no value has been defined for the parameter ICL_MILEAGEUNIT, the unit Mile is used. - SERVICE
The value for this evaluation criterion is a measure for the service quality of the vendor. You can define this value directly in the business partner for the vendor.
- PRICE
The value for this evaluation criterion is a measure for the general price level of the vendor. You can define this value directly in the business partner for the vendor.
- CUSTSATISF
The value for this evaluation criterion is a measure for the satisfaction a customer has with the services of the vendor. (This value can be determined through customer surveys, for example.) You can define this value directly in the business partner for the vendor.
Use
On the basis of the evaluation criteria, the Claims Management system determines a ranking list of the possible services or the optimum service for the relevant transaction type in the procurement process.
