Indicates the number of hours that the claim date and claim time may lie before the coverage inception for coverage to be valid.
Use
Dependencies
The values in this field are dependent on the following data:
- Date and time at which the claim occurred
- Start time of the coverage
Example
A claim occurs on January 19, 2001. Coverage as set down in the contract does not begin until January 20, 2001.
If this field contains a value of 24 hours, coverage exists in this example (the data in this field is displayed in a dialog screen with the valid coverages and used in the process of automatic coverage opening).
If the field contains a valid of 0 hrs, no coverage exists in this example.
