Use

Specifies how the limits and deductibles of the benefit type are applied in the compensation calculation.

The settings have the following meaning:

  • Subclaim

    The limits and deductibles of the benefit type are applied per subclaim.

  • Cross-area

    All limits and deductibles of the combination of coverage type and benefit type are added up across subclaims. The limit and deductible is then applied to this total.

    This setting only makes sense if there might be several subclaims for the same coverage type in a claim.
    If the benefit type is cross coverage type, this is the only value that is possible.

  • Claim item

    The limits and deductibles of the benefit type are applied per claim item.

  • Cross-claim limits

    The limits of the benefit type are applied to the total of the compensation of all claims with the same contract, coverage type, and insured person.

  • Cross-claim deductibles

    The deductibles of the benefit type are applied to the total of the compensation of all claims with the same contract, coverage type, and insured person.

  • Deductible per year

    The deductibles of the benefit type are applied to all claims within a year.

  • Waiting period

    The quantity-dependent deductibles are valid per claim item grouping category , as is usual for waiting periods.
