Documentation
Definition
Note: This limit per subclaim type can refer to payments, reserves, and subrogation/recovery. You use the specification in the Activity field to control which of these processes the amount refers to. The amount then has the following meaning:
- Payment
Limit for the total of all payments for this subclaim type within a claim.
- Reserve
Limit for the cumulated reserve amount for this subclaim type within a claim.
Example: According to the customizing settings, the limit per subclaim type for the user is USD 20,000. As soon as the user increases the reserve in claims processing by an amount so that the total reserve for this subclaim type exceeds USD 20,000, the principle of dual control comes into force.
- Subrogation/recovery:
Limit up to which a user can reduce a subrogation/recovery receivable per subclaim type.
Use
If this limit is exceeded in a claim, the principle of dual control comes into force in the relevant process. A superior is informed via workflow, and this superior must approve or reject the amount.
Exception: With subrogation/recovery there is no dual control principle. A subrogation/recovery receivable can only be reduced by a user with the appropriate authorization.
Dependencies
If you define a limit per subclaim type, you must specify the relevant subclaim type in the Subclaim Type field.
