Definition

Use

Indicates at subclaim level the conditions under which subrogation/ recovery is permitted.

The following settings are possible:

  • Not Permitted

If you create a subclaim in the application, the system automatically sets the subrogation/recovery potential to Subrogation/Recovery Not Permitted. You cannot change the subrogation/recovery potential manually.

  • After Claim Closure
Subrogation/recovery is only permitted if the claim has been closed.
  • After Subclaim Closure
Subrogation/recovery is only permitted if the subclaim has been closed.
  • Always Permitted

With all settings except Not Permitted the system initially sets the subrogation/recovery potential to Not Checked when a subclaim is created. You can then change the subrogation/recovery potential to Exists or Does Not Exist.

Note: To be able to create subrogation/recovery from a subclaim, the subrogation/recovery potential must be Exists.
