Definition
Means that the new version is created on the basis of the currently active version of the currently active generation.
The new version comprises the same period as the original version. When you activate the new version, the original version is therefore overruled completely and deactivated.
General Information on Versioning:
All attributes of an object (internal claim type, benefit type tree, policy product) are time-dependent.
If the object that you want to change already has a suspense entry, this entry is always changed.
If no suspense entry exists, the system inquires about the type of change, and a new suspense entry is created. Changes with regards to claims assigned to this version during claim creation on the basis of the specific date (loss/ claim date, contract renewal date, date or period when services are provided) do not become effective until you activate these suspense entries.
Suspense entries have no effect on claim processing, and can therefore be deleted. Before you activate suspense entries, the program carries out numerous consistency checks and displays these in the form of a log.
