Definition

The language specified here appears as the preselected logon language on the logon screen.

Use

The preassignment of the logon language is displayed on the logon screen only if the language selection field has been configured for display on the logon screen.

Dependencies

Determining the logon language:

• If a language has been configured as obligatory in the service configuration (under logon data), this language is used at logon. In this case the language selection field on the logon screen is locked against changes.
• If a language has been explicitly specified in the URL (parameter: sap-language), this language is used for the logon and appears as the preassigned language.
• The preassignment uses the language from the configuration of the system logon.
• The "Accept Language" field in the browser is evaluated, and the first language supported by the system is preselected at logon.
• The non-obligatory language from the service configuration is preassigned.
• System language is preassigned.
