Documentation
Definition
Certificate request/assignment when logging on through HTTPS.
Use
If the certificate is missing when a user logs on through HTTPS, a certificate can be automatically requested. Essentially, after the user has been authenticated, the ICF system logon forwards the logon request to the service configured for certificate request.
If a certificate was already sent by the browser when the user logged on through HTTPS, the service configured for assigning certificates to users is called. Once the certificate has been assigned, future logons will use the certificate.
The services for certificate request and assignment receive the application URL in parameter 'sap-return-url', and these services are responsible for forwarding HTTP requests to the application.
