Use

You can use navigation targets to navigate to the place in the system where you can resolve any anomalies upon which the task is based.

Dependencies

In IMG activity Configure Tasks, Log Entries, and Activities, you can store navigation targets at the following points:

  • At the level Define Tasks and Log Entries

For tasks, you must define a navigation target here, otherwise the task cannot be executed.

  • At the level Claim-Type-Specific Navigation Target

Here you can define a navigation target for a task dependent on an internal claim type. This navigation target is then only considered in claims with the relevant internal claim type.

  • At the level Assign Activities to a Task

Here you have the following options for storing the navigation target:

    • Depending on an internal claim type for the combination of task and activity.
    • You can store it for the combination of task and activity on a general basis (not based on an internal claim type).
  • At the level Define Activities

Here you can also define a navigation target for an activity.

The system considers the stored navigation targets at runtime, according to the following rules:

  • When you execute a task in claims processing, the system considers the navigation targets in the following sequence:

    1. Navigation target defined at the level Claim-Type-Specific Navigation Target

    2. Navigation target defined at the level Define Tasks and Log Entries

  • When you perform an activity for a task in claims processing (in other words, the task has an activity assigned to it), the system considers the stored navigation targets in the sequence below:

    1. The navigation target stored for the combination of task and activity at the level Assign Activities to a Task, depending on an internal claim type.

    2. The navigation target stored for the combination of task and activity at the level Assign Activities to a Task (not depending on an internal claim type).

    3. Navigation target defined for the activity at the level Define Activities

The system uses the first navigation target it finds.

These activities also apply for the claim bundle. You can store the navigation target depending on a claim bundle type, instead of on an internal claim type. You make this assignment in IMG activity Claim Bundle: Assign Activities to a Task.
