Use
You can use deadline specifications to control when the next processing step of a task is due.
You can define the following deadlines:
- Deadline for first submission (in days and hours)
- Deadline for start of task (in days and hours)
- Deadline for end of task (in days and hours)
When a task is created, the system uses the defined deadlines (shown in bold font below) to calculate the following dates:
- Date/time for first submission in the business workplace
Date/time for the first submission of the task in the Business Workplace is derived as follows:
Time at which the task was created + deadline for first submission = date/time for the first submission in the Business Workplace.
Example: March 1, 2004, 14:00 (task created) + ten days, two hours ( deadline for first submission) = March 10, 2004, 16:00 (date/time for the first submission in Business Workplace)
- Date/time for the latest start of the task
The date/time for the latest start of a task is derived as follows:
Date/time for the first submission in the Business Workplace + deadline for start of task = date/time for latest start of task
Example: March 10, 2004, 16:00 (date/time for first submission in Business Workplace) + five days, zero hours (deadline for start of task) = March 15, 2004, 16:00 (date/time for the latest start of the task)
- Date/time for the latest end of the task
The date/time for the latest end of the task is derived as follows:
Date/time for latest start of a task + deadline for end of task = date/time for latest end of the task
Example: March 15, 2004, 16:00 (date/time for the latest start of the task) + two days, two hours (deadline for end of task) = March 17, 2004, 18:00 (date/time for latest end of the task)
Once the task has been created, these dates are fixed deadlines.
Display of the due date in claims processing
Which of the dates calculated above is displayed in the list of pending tasks in the Due Date field depends on the status of the task as follows:
- For a task that has just been created, the due date is set to the "Date for first submission in Business Workplace."
- After the task appears in workplace, the due date is set to "Date/time for the latest start of the task."
- After the performer accepts the task (by selecting an activity or choosing the task if no activities are assigned to it) the due date is set to "Date/time for latest completion of the task."
After the task is completed, the due date is deleted.
