Definition
This field affects the quantity of a material that is to be packed at the packing station.
There are three options:
- If you leave this field blank, the Quantity field is available for input after the material number is scanned. This means that the person using the packing station must explicitly enter the quantity that is to be packed. The user can also enter a negative quantity in order to unpack that amount.
- If the number "1" is recorded in the packing station profile, a quantity of one of this material is packed after the material number is scanned. This function saves the user the time and effort involved in entering the quantity.
- The "V" option only comes into play when you pack delivery items. Once the material number is scanned, the system attempts to pack the quantities that are still open.
If one of the last two options are implemented, you can only pack a different quantity than the one that was proposed if you specifiy a partial quantity in the material table. You can also only unpack by using the material table.
