Definition

Alphanumeric key that identifies a complex physical warehouse within the Warehouse Management System.

Use

All the activities within the warehouse, such as goods movements and inventory are assigned to a warehouse number. This key uniquely identifies the physical warehouse in which these activities take place.

Notes

The warehouse number refers to the complete handling unit and is determined from the materials contained in the handling unit. The plant and storage location of the handling unit packing material do not influence the warehouse number of the handling unit.
