Documentation
Definition
Applications that can be used to administrate or customize the NW Web Application Server are admin relevant.
Also applications used for development tasks are admin relevant.
See also SAP note 1778777 for additional steps required for admin relevant services.
This flag (administration relevant) is set during creation of an application. To see an overview of admin relevant applications or change this setting you can use transaction "REASSIGN_ADMSERVICES".
Use
Customers want to separate the access to the system, so that they can block the administrative and development access via the Internet or from certain parts of the intranet by using a different TCP port for administrative access.
Customers can configure that applications marked as admin relevant use an own host and port (virtual host in ICF). See note 1748112 how this can be configured.
