Use
In object selection, the Object and Data Provider distinguishes between the following three types of object selection rules:
- Rule for the selection of root objects (the user who is logged on is always the start object for the evaluation path)
- Rule for the selection of navigation objects
- Rule for the selection of target objects
For each object selection rule, an indicator for excluding managers enables you to omit the managers from the object set found using the rule. As standard, the default implementation of the customer enhancement Exclude Managers is called. Therefore, the object selection rule, for example, is transferred to the customer enhancement as an import parameter. In the case of customer-specific implementations, this type of customer enhancement is also transferred to enable the type of object selection rule to be determined.
The following fixed values represent the various types of object selection rules in the Object and Data Provider:
- 'R' for a rule for the selection of root objects
- 'N' for a rule for the selection of navigation objects
- 'O' for a rule for the selection of target objects
