- Determine root objects -- Evaluation Path for Root Objects field.
To display views of the organizational structure, the system must first determine the root objects. In the Evaluation Path for Root Objects field, in other words in this field, you store an evaluation path for that purpose. As start object, the evaluation path always contains the user who is logged on.
Usually the root objects should be the organizational objects in which the mangager holds the chief position. Starting from each individual root object, the system uses the evaluation path in the Evaluation Path field to determine all organizational objects that lie below the root object.
Alternatively, in the Function Module for Root Objects field, you can store a function module that returns root objects. As a template, SAP delivers the function module HRWPC_PATHROOTS (Function Module to Determine Root Objects).
