Definition
Use
To be able to display an organizational structure view, the Object and Data Provider must first determine the relevant objects. To enable this, you must define an object selection that is composed of object selection rules or a class for an object search. An object selection rule is composed of an evaluation path and a technical evaluation depth or alternatively of a function module for determining objects.
In this field, you define the evaluation path of an object selection rule.
Dependencies
Example
As standard, a rule for the selection of root objects should include an evaluation path that determines the organizational units for which the manager holds the chief position. The evaluation path SAP_MANG
is included in the standard system for this purpose.
Alternatively, you can store a function module, with a specified interface, that returns the root objects. The function module HRWPC_PATHROOTS
(Function Module for Determining Root Objects) is included in the standard system as an example.
