Definition
Specifies the frequency with which you analyze the performance values and potential values of your employees in your enterprise.
Use
Dependencies
Each analysis period is part of a group of analysis periods.
For the same analysis period you can specify separate key dates for determining the performance value and the potential value for an employee.
Example
In your enterprise, the performance assessments and potential assessments are performed on a yearly basis that ranges from March of a calendar year to February of the following year. You therefore create an analysis period with the start date March 1 and end date February 29. You specify the following key dates for this analysis period:
- Performance: December 1 of the previous calendar year
- Potential: March 1 of current calendar year
In June 2010 you want to compare the current performance values and potential values for an employee with the previous values. For the comparison, the system uses the values that are valid on the following key dates:
Current Value Previous Value
Performance December 1, 2009 December 1, 2008
Potential March 1, 2010 March 1, 2009
