Definition

You can use this parameter to control whether assigned items and summary items should be posted separately.

If you flag this parameter, the system will generate separate posting documents for assigned items and summary items. As a result, at least two documents are always created when posting from Payroll if this parameter is flagged.

If you do not flag this parameter, the system will not differentiate between assigned items and summary items. This option can be chosen if you want to minimize the number of documents created.

Assigned items are usually postings to expense accounts.

Summary items are usually postings to payables accounts.
