Definition
A liability wage type is a wage type relevant for posting that represents a liability of your company with regards to an external institution or an employee.
In the context of the distribution of liabilities according to expenses for the New General Ledger however, only gross-based liabilities and complementary wage types are of significance. For more information, see the documentation for for the distribution indicator field in table T52LIDI.
You can enter up to 3 liability wage types into one entry in table T52LIDIBASE. However, when the inflow principle applies, you can only make entries for the distribution wage type field in sections distribution basis 2 as well as distribution basis three under the following conditions:
If a liability wage type does not operate under the inflow principle, enter this wage type into the liability wage type field and then enter the gross wage type of this liability into the distribution basis field in the first distribution section. All other fields must be left blank.
If a liability wage type operates under the inflow principle, you must distinguish between the following:
o The wage type is not related to another wage type as far as the inflow principle is concerned. In this case, enter the liability wage type into the liability wage type field. Enter the gross wage type of the liability into the distribution basis field. Enter the relevant gross outflow wage type or gross inflow wage type into the fields. The remaining fields must also remain empty.
o The wage type is related to other wage types as far as the inflow principle is concerned.
For example, tax wage types, in which case the continuous tax is related to taxes on other earnings. Gross outflows of the one wage type are converted into gross inflows of the other wage type.
Enter the first wage type into the liability wage type. Assign the relevant distribution basis, wage type-gross outflow and wage type-gross inflow in distribution section 1. Make the relevant entries for the second wage type in distribution basis section 2. . If the same relationship exists to another, third wage type, make the same entries in the distribution basis 3 section .
Each liability wage type can only be entered into the table once. It makes no difference if it is entered into distribution section 1, 2, or 3.
