Definition

A distribution basis for a gross-based liability wage type is represented by its gross wage type and contains the summarized cost assignments of their gross primary wage types.

Distribution bases are generated with the BASE parameter using the XLIDI - Distribution of Liabilities payroll function. A distribution basis corresponds to a gross wage type. Therefore it is calculated from the gross primary wage types of results table RT in the same way as the gross wage type. However, the following special conditions apply to the calculation:

  • The indicators APZNR and C1ZNR (CNTR1, CNTR2, and CNTR3 see below) relevant for the cost assignment are retained
  • The fields irrelevant for the distribution such as the wage type are omitted

A distribution basis is thus a distribution of the two cost assignment-relevant indicators APZNR and C1ZNR, that is a Cost Assignment Distribution.

Use

In table T52LIDIBASE, you can assign up to three different distribution bases to a liability wage type. Whether more than one distribution basis is needed for a liability wage type depends on how the generation of the wage type is linked to the inflow principle. The gross of a liability is usually split into the following parts:

Current Gross, that is the gross from the current payments

  • Other Gross, that is the gross from other payments (non-recurring payments)

Depending on the schedule line of the gross, the values are as follows:

  • A Current Liability depending on the current gross
  • An Other Liability depending on the other gross (The other liability usually also mathematically depends on the current gross. However, more important for a distribution according to cause is the causal correlation between gross and liability.)

Now both of the liabilities can relate to the principle of origin and the inflow principle as follows:

  • (1) Both liabilities are based on the principle of origin,
  • (2) The current liability is based on the principle of origin and the other liability (maybe because of the situation) is based on the inflow principle

For (1) and (2), both of the liabilities only depend on their own gross. Therefore it is sufficient to assign each liability its unique distribution basis (its unique gross wage type) for the distribution according to expenses. Therefore, only enter the following distribution basis of the liability:

  • For the current liability, the wage type for the current gross
  • For the other liability, the wage type for the other gross

Distribution basis 3 is similar to distribution basis 2. It is intended for when there is another gross wage type whose outflows flow into the gross according to the first distribution basis. This is most likely to be an exceptional circumstance.

All wage types are processed together under the first liability wage type of table T52LIDIBASE using function XLIDI, and they are then in the results of table LIFL.

Note

The interpretation of table T52LIDIBASE and of table T52LIDI depends on the distribution main switch in table T52SWCODIST. If the switch is set to '0' or '1', the tables are not interpreted at all. If the switch has the value '2', only the first distribution basis is used as the gross postponements are not taken into account for the distribution according to expenses as a result of the inflow principle.

Dependencies

Country-specific assignment indicators CNTR1, CNTR2, and CNTR3

If one of the country-specific assignment indicators of table RT is significant for a distribution basis (gross), a more precise result can be obtained for the distribution of a liability wage type entry. This is obtained if the distribution of this entry is not integrated into the entire distribution basis, but rather on a part of the basis only, for which the value of the assignment indicators CNTR1 # CNTR3 match the corresponding value of the liability entry. For more information, see the documentation for the Assignment Indicator Switch field in table T52LIDI.
