Categories for items in the inbox of an Employee Interaction Center (EIC).

Use

Task types enable you to subdivide inbox items into various groups. You define task types to enable you to search in the inbox for different types of items. You can assign different item types to these task types.

Example

If you have defined E-Mail as a task type, you can search for e-mails by specifying that only e-mails are to be displayed in the inbox.
