Use

This field is marked by the program, if the

• employee receives lunch checks
• (additional) costs are paid by the employer for a main meal in the form of expense payments
• the employer reduces the cost of lunch or dinner in a canteen

Dependencies

The field is filled according to the statements in the meals field of the LAW payroll unit or can be overriden by entries in the Tax CH (0038) infotype.

Legal basis for the wage statement until 2004

Field 5x: Contribution to the cost of meals in the workplace

Contributions can take the form of cash or lunch checks. If they are generally available to personnel, you mark the field, if there is no record showing to what extent the employee has taken advantage of it. Only the meals at the permanent workplace can be taken into account. Meals at a different work location, as is often the case in the construction industry, are excluded.
