Example

Example 1

You change the name of an object as of a specific date. The system then makes the following changes:

• Deletes the entire record
• Creates a new record with the old name up to this date
• Creates a new record with the new name as of this date

In a merged change document, these changes are displayed together as a change in the name as of this date.

Example 2

You delimit an infotype. The system makes the following changes:

• Deletes the entire data record
• Creates a new data record up to the delimitation date

In a merged change document, these changes are displayed together as the deletion of the record as of the delimitation date.
