This field is selected if the object method in the Business Object Repository is defined as a synchronous method. The effect of this on the definition of the single-step task is that the task can have terminating events, although it does not have to have terminating events.

This field is not selected if the object method in the Business Object Repository is defined as an asynchronous method. The effect of this on the definition of the single-step task is that the task must have at least one terminating event.

Dependencies

If the task is used in a workflow, it has the following lock properties:

• A work item created for a synchronous task remains locked until the end of the method execution.
• A work item created for an asynchronous task only remains locked until the method is started.
