Documentation

Definition

Character-type switch that specifies the type of number assignment used when creating a business partner in the employee role.

Use

Dependencies

Response for switch setting '1'.
A business partner number with internal number assignment is taken from the general number range of the business partner.

Example:
The number range extends from 0000000000 to 9999999999. The numbers for the business partners are taken in chronological order (0000000001, 0000000002, 0000000003,and so on).

Response for switch setting '2'.
An individual number range interval exists for the business partner with the organizational unit role. This interval must be indicated as an internal number assignment. A business partner grouping of the same name must have been created. For this type of number assignment, note switch HRALX PSUBG

Example:
In this case, the number range has its own number range interval. The business partner number is taken in the same way as in the first case.

Response for switch setting '3':
The business partner in the organizational unit role is to receive the same number as its corresponding organizational unit. An individual number range interval with external number assignment must have been created. At the same time, a business partner grouping of the same name must be created. For this type of number assignment, note switch HRALX OSUBG The following rules apply for this type of number assignment:

  • The first two digits of the number range interval have to be letters (business partner numbers comprise 10 digits, whereas organizational unit numbers comprise only 8 digits).
  • The first two digits of the number-range-interval start value and the number-range-interval end value must be identical.
  • The remaining digits of the number-range-interval start value must have the value '00000000', the remaining digits of the number-range-interval end value must have the value '99999999'.

Example:
The number range interval has the start value 'AA00000000' and the end value 'AA99999999'. An organizational unit is created with the number 50000100. The corresponding business partner receives the number AA50000100.
