Definition

To carry out a step consolidation, a certain hierarchical level and a company must be assigned to every subgroup in the hierarchy for storing its consolidated subgroup data (rollup company).

There is the restriction that a subgroup may consist either only of "normal" companies or rollup companies. The subgroups underlying the rollup companies must all have the same hierarchical level and this must be lower than that of the higher-level subgroup.
