Definition

Specifies whether the operative system formats data in calendar-month format or posting-period format when extracting the planned personnel costs per cost object into SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW).

Use

If you choose the record type Calendar Month, the system fills the following time characteristics of the InfoSource:

  • Calendar year/month
  • Calendar year/quarter
  • Calendar year

If you choose the record type Posting Period, the system fills the following time characteristics of the InfoSource:

  • Fiscal year/period
  • Fiscal year
  • Fiscal year variant

SAP R/3 updates the selected record type in the relevant InfoCubes. They are also available for selection here. Therefore, you can extract data for both record types one after the other.

Dependencies

The SAP queries for planned costs per cost object use the record type Calendar Month.
