Use
The SAP R/3 system uses the internal value ID of a value in a value list for calculation purposes.
The external value ID of values in a value list, on the other hand, is displayed on the user interface.
When you create a value list, you must create a value ID for each value in the list. It is usually sufficient to create an internal value ID and a description for each value. When displaying the values on the user interface, the SAP R/3 system takes the external value and the description for each value. If you only created internal value IDs when you created a value list, the SAP R/3 system uses the internal IDs as external IDs, and displays them on the interface, together with the descriptions.
