Definition
Specifies that the SAP R/3 system uses a weighted percentage for the value determination of an appraisal element.
Use
Note
You can only enter a value determination method if you use a value list for the appraisal element in question. The SAP R/3 system uses a BAdI implementation for value determination. You can display the implementation from the Appraisal Catalog screen by choosing Goto -> Enhancements -> Value Determination.
For this type of value determination, the SAP R/3 system performs the calculation as follows:
- It determines the percentage value for each result based on the value list used.
- It multiplies each percentage result by the corresponding weighting.
- It adds up the weighted results independently of the value list and unit.
- It divides the the weighted results by the sum of the weighting factors.
- It determines the percentage value for the result depending on the value list used.
Caution.
For the calculated result, the value range and unit apply that correspond to the value list entered for the appraisal element. In other words, the result is only displayed as a percentage if a percentage scale was used. Otherwise the calculated percentage is transferred to the value list.
ExampleScale: 10 points
Calculated percentage value: 50%
Result: 5 points
Note
If you use different value lists, the following can occur:
If the result is greater than the maximum value of the value list, the SAP R/3 system automatically corrects the result to be the same as the maximum value of the value list.
