Definition
Specifies which character in front is set before each Numbering Level entry in the appraisal template.
Use
The entry is valid for the corresponding numbering level and, if no other entries exist, for all subsequent levels also.
The standard numbering system does not use any characters in front.
Examples
Level Char. in Front Numbering Character After DoNotDisplay LC
1 <No Char in Front> <Arabic Numerals> <No Character After> Indicator not set
Results in following numbering:
1
This is valid for a criteria group, for example.
Level Char. in Front Numbering Character After DoNotDisplay LC
2 ( <Lower-Case Characters> ) Indicator not set
Results in following numbering:
1 (a)
This is valid for a criterion or an external element, for example.
Note
In this example, you should avoid using decimal points after the first numbering level (usually for criteria groups). You should make the following numbering settings for level one:
- Char. in Front = <Blank>
- Character After = <Blank>
- Do Not Display Last Character = Do not set indicator
