Definition
Consolidation of business areas is activated on the client level. This activation initiates the following actions when posting a document:
- Creating an own document for consolidation
- Manual account assignment of the partner business area
- For pure G/L account postings in the FI and AM systems between business areas, the partner business area is set automatically.
- Due to the allocation of affiliated vendors/material to a partner business area, the partner business area is automatically assigned in the MM system.
- Due to the allocation of affiliated customers/material to a partner business area, the partner business area is automatically set in the SD system.
Within consolidation, company and business area as well as trading partner and partner business area are derived for a so-called consolidation company.
Requirements
- Activation of the business area balance sheets in FI
- Required entry of the business area when posting
- Allocation of the local business areas for consolidation business areas
- Allocation of the combinations company/business area to the consolidation company
