Documentation
Definition
The indicator controls how the system performs parallel processing. By default, the system processes all single packages at the same time in background. If you select this indicator, the system processes the packages directly one after another.
Use
If you want the system to process the data in the background, do not select the indicator (initial setting). This will increase performance significantly.
Dependencies
If you set the indicator, then the settings made in Customizing activity Define Packages for Parallel Processing may cause lock conflicts. If you have used indirect processing (same offsetting account in account determination) to assign the same MCA key to more than one package, then an initial indicator may cause the system to set simultaneous locks for the accounts, which would cause a lock conflict.
