Documentation
Definition
Specifies the status of the ECS direct input run.
Use
A run can have the following statuses:
- Undefined: A serious error occurred that caused the run to terminate in an undefined way. In this case, the system could not post any documents or ECS items.
- Terminated: The system terminated at least one job in the run.
- Postprocessing Required: The system did not process at least one package in the run because of errors.
- Successfully Completed: The system processed the run completely.
In all cases, check the application log under Display Application Logs, and if the system generated ECS items, process them under Process ECS Items.
The application log can contain messages for runs that were completed successfully. For example, documents that contain over 990 line items cannot be posted if these are items are to be posted to customer accounts, vendor accounts, or accounts on which open items can be managed, or if these items are tax relevant. If the documents are too long, you need to divide them into smaller documents and import them into the system in a new ECS direct input run.
If the status of the run is Terminated and Postprocessing Required, resolve the errors recorded in the application log, and restart the run. Note that when doing so, you cannot change any of the items in the document headers in the file. For example, you cannot add any new line items before you restart the run. If you want to add line items, you have to start a new ECS direct input run.
If you started the job under Direct Input - Manage Data Transfers, you have to use this transaction as well to restart the job. If the run has the status Terminated, choose the function Restart Job ; if the run has the status Postprocessing Required choose the function Subsequent Processing -> Correct Errors in Direct Input - Manage Data Transfers.
