Specifies the cost center to which an ECS item or its document belongs.

Example

If the original cost center was incorrect, and the FI document was posted temporarily to another cost center, this cost center is referred to as the posted cost center, and this field in the ECS item contains the posted cost center. The ECS item also contains the original cost center. If you correct the ECS item later on, the correct cost center is recorded as well.
